DEAR BIRTH PARENTS

Hello!

We are a small family of three, hoping to grow. Adam, Heather and Madison, who is three.

First of all, we want to acknowledge you, and we admire you for considering adoption as we know it is difficult.  Birth Mothers are the most amazing people on the earth! They are loving, strong, and most of all courageous. We hope that whatever decision you make, you will receive the support you need to carry you through.

Our family is very grateful for the miracle of adoption! We were blessed with our daughter, Madison, two years ago through adoption. She is everything we ever dreamed of and we cannot wait to expand our family through adoption again.

Here is some info about us...

We have been married for twelve years. We were introduced to each other by Heather's cousins who coerced us to meet each other at a party they planned for this purpose. We clicked and about a year later we got married. As cliché as this sounds, we are best friends. We love to spend time together and love to go and do things as a family.

We were diagnosed with infertility about five years after we got married. Hearing that there is no chance of us getting pregnant on our own was probably the hardest thing we have ever dealt with. We are so grateful for the miracle of adoption and that we have the chance to have a family through other means.  We have an open adoption with Madison's birth mother and share her cuteness with her through letters and pictures.

As a family, we enjoy traveling, camping, swimming, playing sports, board games, going on walks, cooking dinner together, shopping, hanging out in our backyard, watching our favorite shows together, and spending time with our friends and family. Our family goes on vacations together every year. We have a lot of good memories of trips we have taken together. We go to Dillons Beach every summer with Adam's family (they have been going since he was 5) and we go to Lake Tahoe and Palm Springs with Heather's family every year.  We also love to go to Hawaii (Madison has been three times already), Disneyland, Santa Cruz, Monterey, Utah, Arizona, etc. We are having so much fun showing Madison all of our favorite places and can't wait to share it with more little ones.

Our Way of Thinking

We feel that family is very important. We are lucky to have both our extended families close to us and we are glad that we will be able to raise our kids near their grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Heather was able to grow up close to her extended family and is still close to them now. We want the same for our children.

We love being Madison's parents. Our theory on parenting is that it takes a lot of patience and a lot of love. We feel that one of the key elements to parenting is to successfully discipline our children to help them understand right from wrong. We believe in teaching our children while they are young to give them a solid foundation to base their future decisions on. And of course, love, love and more love! Madison and our future children will know they are loved by not only us, but by all of our family.

We hope and pray that you receive the support and strength you need to make your decision. We are honored and grateful for your consideration.  Our family cannot wait to open our hearts to another little one.

Love,

Adam, Heather & Madison
